Originally founded in 1979 by namesake Roger Cleveland, Cleveland Golf started off as a company known for producing exquisite replicas of classic golf clubs from the 1940's and 1950's. Today, the company is regarded as one of the forerunners in product innovation and is home to the #1 Wedge in Golf.

Cleveland Golf has experienced extraordinary growth since the appointment of Greg Hopkins as president in 1997. Hopkins' goal was to move towards a product line that would make high performance equipment available to golfers at every level and increase visibility in the marketplace. He has thus far succeeded on both counts with products that feature such cutting edge technology as CMM metal, golf's first light density metal.

In the summer of 2005, Huntington Beach based Quiksilver acquired Cleveland Golf. This acquisition helped Quiksilver move into a leadership position in the outdoor sporting goods category, and with this new parent company, Cleveland Golf is looking forward to experiencing a whole new level of growth.

With more than 325 employees in its Huntington Beach, California headquarters, Cleveland Golf has a U.S. sales force of 70 as well as 26 international distributors worldwide. With an eye to the future, Cleveland Golf is heavily involved in player development with support to junior, collegiate and developmental tour golf. Since 2004 it has been the sponsor of the Cleveland Golf Tour, which is a developmental professional golf tour for aspiring tour players. The company is also title sponsor of an annual father-son tournament held at Pebble Beach and the Wee-ko-pa tournament held in Arizona.

Cleveland Golf is proud to count among its professional tour staff members: Vijay Singh, David Toms, David Howell, Gary Koch and many others.
